Terms of use
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Printly: the website, the design studio and your account. By creating an account or using the studio, you agree to them.
Who you're dealing with
These terms are with Printly ("we", "us"). If you use Printly on behalf of a company, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
Your account
Sign up with your own email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us at hi@justprintly.com if you think someone else has used it. You can end every session from your settings.
Your designs and files
What you make and upload stays yours: text, photos, logos and finished designs. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as far as we need to run Printly for you, for example to show the 3D preview, make thumbnails and build your export files.
You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload, and that printing it doesn't break anyone else's rights.
Templates
The dieline templates in the library belong to us or to those we license them from. You can use them to design and print packaging for yourself or for your clients. Don't copy the library, resell the templates or publish them as your own.
Generate with AI
AI designs come from third-party models. They can contain mistakes or odd details, and can look like existing work. Check every result before you print it. Each account has a usage allowance, and we may change the allowance or pause the feature.
Print files and checks
The studio warns about common print problems, but no automatic check catches everything. Colours on screen differ from colours on board. Check a proof with your printer before a full run. The final file you send to print is your responsibility.
Plans and credits
Printly has a Free plan and paid plans. Designing with AI, exporting print files and some other actions cost credits; the studio shows the cost before you start, and the pricing page lists every cost.
The Free plan gives you free credits each week, which don't carry over to the next week. A paid plan adds credits each month, and credit packs add credits that expire after the number of months shown when you buy them. Credits have no cash value: they can't be exchanged for money or moved to another account.
Paying
Polar (polar.sh) sells Printly plans and credit packs for us as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges any tax and sends your receipt. When you pay, Polar's own terms apply to the payment as well.
Plans renew automatically, each month or each year, until you cancel. Cancel any time from Billing in your account: you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. If a renewal payment fails, we ask you to update your card; until then some paid features may stop.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of a purchase if none of its credits have been used. The refund policy at /refunds has the details.
Teams
On Enterprise, a team owner pays for a number of seats. Each member gets that seat's monthly credits in their own balance. The owner is responsible for the team's plan and for who they invite.
Affiliate program
If you join our affiliate program, you earn a commission on what the customers you bring pay us, under the program rules shown in your affiliate dashboard. We pay by bank transfer once you have reached the minimum payout, and take back commission on payments that are later refunded.
What you can't do
Don't use Printly for anything illegal or harmful, to infringe someone else's rights, or to spread malware. Don't try to get into other people's accounts or data, overload the service, or scrape it with automated tools.
Changes to the service
Printly is in early access, and designing and exporting are free. We keep improving it, so features change, and some may become paid later. We'll tell you before anything you use starts to cost money.
Closing an account
You can stop using Printly at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. If you want a copy of your designs, ask before the account closes.
Liability
We provide Printly as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Printly operates.
